(17) Karma Yoga

My action always in my interest

Often opposite to other’s interest

Causing strife, spoiling relation

Beyond repair, like glass broken

Not acting selflessly at right point

Compassion later serves no point

Act appropriately now in present

Regardless of future or past

For Arjuna, fighting war was right

Given long animosity of the past

Do your duty discarding fruit desire

That karmayoga frees one from fear

Due to desire, cause-effect related

Must act in a way to get fruit desired

If desire not fulfilled, keep trying

That is perpetual karma binding

If no desires remain at death

No coming back to life on earth

Follow this karmayoga sincerely

Break perpetual life cycle worldly
