(11) Equanimity

Ordinary people’s agony incessant

Why this happened and not that?

Pleasure we want repeating

Pain though, soonest vanishing

But of fruit, not being desirous

Yogi has a mind equanimous

Mind undisturbed, unwavering

Thru’ good, bad, uninteresting

Merely witnessing everything

Not at all judging or labeling

His senses working like normal

Unattached to experience sensual

Life is for experiences on earth

But not till moment of death

Life is but experience sampling

Not unthinking voracious hogging

Give up all duality – “I and rest”

No more desire to get this, that

Transcending gunas three binding

Without desires, fears agitating
